I need help understanding the why / how / wtf of Photoshop's Color Managment settings. Now before the designer gurus jump into an exhaustive explanation, you have to know I *NEVER* use photoshop to do print (altho it would be smashing to know what to do in order to print somewhat correct colours).
Here's what happened ; I was working on finding interesting colours and layout for a game menu we're making and realised everything I was comming up with looked desaturated when viewing it with anything else than photoshop. My whole system got reinstalled a few days ago and I wasn't the one reinstalling everything. I noticed a profile being used on Photoshop's working space and this seemed to be the source of my colour tinkering.
I now have the Settings to "Color Management Off" and it seems to be working fine.
So in clear, what does one has to do in order to be working with the same colours as other programs would view those colours ?
Funny enough how I worked with photoshop for years and never ran into this nor investigated any further...
