Yes, there is some purpose to this madness, I'm working out equipment for my comic. See, because there is a part where some heavily armed soldiers assault my poor lil hero girl. Of course, they get slaughtered and stuff, but you know how it goes. This is a mean weapon, a CAW firing either bursts of 2 specially designed shotgun rounds or full auto fire. I tried to make it much more practical and working than my last gun. I might rework this one slightly acouple times, not sure. Would appreciate comments.

Yeap. Not bad.
Keep it up (try to use more references on the subject)!

looks pretty working to me :) well done and lots of improvement.
you could streamline things a bit more by extending the closing part behind the grip handle to the magazine clip.
speaking of the clip: if this is going to fire full auto, it'll run empty in no time :)
around the trigger, the grip handle looks a bit thin and uncomfortable to me.
the sights line does not look very practical:
how are you going to aim over that little bit of things? it isn't parallel to the barrell either.
as this is a close range weapon, sights don't need to be a strong point, but maybe having the option of mounting aim pointers or lights is nice.
you could add a sling to the weapon both for securing it while full auto and carrying it around.
even if this equipment might only be seen in two panels: art directors seeing it will notice :)
and readers with a knack for weapons will, either ;)

Ahh, my favorite critic... yea, i think i will rework the handle acouple times to see what I like best. The ammo is a good point, and I had been thinking of it alot. Strangely, the HK caw prototype, which has a full auto mode, only holds 10 rounds... seems nuts to me too, so I'm still trying to brainstorm something better. Also, I'll try giving more thought to the site... I had pointed it slightly downward, just thinking that the ammunition would drop over distance. It has been awhile since I've gone skeet shooting, and I don't really remember how drastic that is. At any rate, the comments are much appreciated. I'll probably draw a few quick silhoutte sketches to figure out the best setup. Going to have to submit some robot concepts next... don't really know where to start with that stuff, but I'll build my way up, need it for comic.

haha, yer favorite crit :) thanks man.
as for auto shotguns, the usas 12 is actually used and it has a drum magazine that holds 20 rounds. not much as well but better than 10 rounds.
did you think about belt feeding the thing?
i don't think shotguns are used for distances so huge that you would notice dropping shots. shotguns are room clearing and things like that.
hope to see some more :)

pretty cool design...it defintely looks bad ass. from what i remember the spas 12 auto shotgun also allows the user to manually pump the weapon. i think that this should be considered in case the auto-pump mechanism fails during auto-mode. its also a good idea since the user can manually load separate tyoes of shells...breaching shells for instance.
i would also look into making the handle a bit more ergonomic. it seems like the user may have issues with the grip. shotgun range is quite good from what i remember, the spread is not as wide as some people make it out to be so a scope is always cool to have...especially if your cartridge is only 14 rounds. looks great...keep us posted!
