An open dare to all film makers:
Make a movie trailer with out using that song from Requiem for a Dream.
Looks interesting otherwise.

intresting concept, but i dont know why, but the way he speaks, the narrator, it sounds a lot like the monolouge from the Dead flag blues (godspeed you! black emperor)

Hahaha Hookswords, I was thinking the exact same thing. I do love Trainspotting, and that movie had such a good soundtrack, I think they could do better. But this trailer looks pretty cool, I'll have to read up on it.

I saw the full trailer yesterday...and wow, looks like pretty mindblowing stuff. And not too silly sci-fi either (The Core, anyone?).

ugh I showed this to my friends and they said it was gunna be a piece of shit overproduced hollywood effects spectacular that will suck the balls...what should i tell them to slap their blasphemous mouths into order?
me: "It's Danny Boyle"
them: "So? It looks like a piece of shit"
me: "But it's Danny Boyle"
them: "It's just gunna some stupid movie in the vein of The Day After Tomorrow...seriously, the sun shutting down?? That won't happen for millions of years, this movie isn't even POSSIBLE"
me: "IT'S DANNY BOYLE."
I don't think they grasped that idea.
And I frickin hate people who don't like movies due to their scientific possibility...ugh they burn my buttons.

Well i saw it a few days ago.. and... well... i think my eyes are still burning because of the AWESOME visuals.
The story is very well done. The scene in the observation room is freaking great. I like the new ideas boyle gets.
The characters are good too, but something about the second guy who takes command's death is a bit.....too easy ?
Anyway, i think this movie goes in my new scifi movie standards, it's been a while since i saw a good one like this.

I was, a piece of shit overproduced Hollywood effects
Danny Boyle or not Danny Boyle I thought it sucked monkey balls.
:: SPOILER ::
That third act with the burned... ghost... angel or what ever turned
me off completly, instead of increasing my emotional response it
completely turned the whole thing ridiculous for me, I was laughing
at the end when the burned guy placed the Chinese biologist in front of
her little plant... just AAAHHGGGJJJJ... what a waste of money.
There has been a few si fi movies that did
it for me, and this one did not maked the cut.

I thought this film was awesome. Overproduced hollywood effects? i thought the whole thing was nicely understated and not blockbuster. Characters were greatly put together and well done to murphy and co for some great performances.
