THese look great.
I love the way you combine shadow shapes with contour. Just terrific.
p.s I like the ink sketches better. :)

thanks for the flowers guys.
the ink helps to go for the right lines, on the other hand i think about changing back to pencil, cause i suck so much with mass drawing. this is all lines and often it flattens out, cause i dont get the shades down correctly. the artpen fine tip takes too long for a bigger shape.
anybody got a hint?

Purely belter!
Lovely stuff, I wish there was a subway in my town... Now I can blame my poor fast-ink skills on lack-of-subway. ;)
Oh - just one tip - when U scan (dont know if U draw on both sides of the paper or if U scan from a sketchbook) lay a black paper on the page behind (on top of it - so to speak)the one U scan - that magically cleans away lines seen through the paper! :D

It's funny, I was just talking to a friend the other day about how I think people are at their most photogenic on the subway. Maybe it has something to do with the way nobody makes eye contact with each other. Really great stuff by the way.

I really like how you use the minimum amount of lines. Keep this up, and show us more...please!

Hey Retro, just a couple thoughts. I've worked with different fountain pens before and they're pretty good sometimes, depending on the flexibility of the nib. You might also want to try out brush pens. Pentel makes cheaper varieties so you won't be breaking the bank buying them. Kamei makes the good ones but they can get pricey.

Those are great.
I know what you mean about the pencil vs pen. The pen is good to train yourself not to scribble, I think you will be suprised with your penciling after this if you keep at it.
