I discovered this fine board a couple weeks ago and find myself coming back regularly to see what is new. There is great talent you have here.
One of the things I have very much enjoyed are the ideas I have seen for the Thunderdome contest. Now, while I don't think I will actually be submitting anything, I've got to admit that you guys have had me drawing out some monsters. I thought I would post a few of the sketches I am happiest with.
The idea I am posting started with this sketch:

.. but I ended up not liking the way the jaw wrapped around the top of the head.
So I tried this:

.. I was thinking that this would feature a warrior who wore, as a helm and cape, the flayed skin of his enemies. I was going to put him in a grove of trees and have the skin/cape draping in the branches of the trees. Maybe I'll rework the idea. But I decided to do something else until then:

I started thinking of a manticore or griffin.. I know this sketch is neither of these things but that is where the idea was coming from.
Anyway.. I am glad I've found a place to view such high quality work. I might not have a whole lot to add myself but maybe you'll see me around occassionally from now on.
