Here's some sketches I made today/yesterday night. The primary inspirational sources are Android, my older stuff, Giger and Tyranids perhaps.
I might color some day. i don't push my pencils further than this, because I pretty much improvise when I ink or paint.
First one, I drew it yesterday night.

Second one. Why am I drawing them from the side?

Strange pose, so I stopped.

Final one, better pose.

i really like that second image. the face reminds me ALOT of the old thunderdome entry from noxizmad though, not sure if you remember it.

holy crap these are awesome.. . never seen stuff like this from you. :chug:
what goes through your mind when you are drawing these? do you just let it flow and not really think about it, or are they more planned out?

Very nice sketchy feel with a realistic aproach, although it is sci-fi one could imagine it existing. I especially like the arm details. Very pleasing organic shapes. One small thing is the left upper leg could use a slight shaving to make it smaller. ;)

I start with a basic idea of what I want to draw, like "a humanoid with long bone legs and some sort of claws". The placement of the details is a subject to 'pseudo anatomy', ie. the shapes should remind of some sort of familiar animal anatomy. I can't place the little knobs just anywhere, mostly I put them on knees, elbows, ribs etc. I design the exo skeleton so it looks a bit like muscles or insect/crab legs.

damn dude...i love the way you designed the legs. like interlocking pieces of armor so theyre rigid when unfurled but loose when curling back. blah..thats really sweet. you should paint these. id like to see them come alive

Dude this is a nice turn for you. Maybe you've done more like this than I've seen but I dig the nasty skin you've given them all. I like organic1 cuz it's more dimensional/sculptural than the rest. You should color them all though :P

Man, your pencils are sweet. I really like the design of the creature in side view, esp the upper body and face. The bottom one is really cool too. I like the pose he's in, but maybe the arms "twinning" stiffens it up a bit. I hope you make a painting using some of these designs someday.

i really like your last sketch, the psuedo tricep muscle thing is awesome, the 4 spikes coming off the back and the shoulder designs give him alot of character, the big circular eyes make him a little too friendly looking based on the mood of the rest of the figure.

the organic piece with the finished colors (the one on your website) is simply amazing. i wish i knew how to color like that.. . ....but anyway, the initial pencil drawing looked excellent in color. would definitely like to see more

looks good to me. I would suggest changing the right hand(of drawing to have the sword coming more toward the veiwer to make it more interesting.

he looks hardcore and ready for action now. this pose has more emotion than the last one.. . the swords angle could be changed, but it looks fine the way it is right now.. .to me at least... .

Wonderful designs.
I personally like the eyes the way they are on the second one. The contrast between threatening body and large, round eyes is cool. It can make him creepier by being so ambiguous about his motives. Kind of abstract reasoning, but hey. That's me.
Great job.

rim> Yeah, I think the eyes are fine too. I sorta wanted that "I can't help that I'm a scary monster" -look
davi suggested changing the sword aswell so I guess I have to do it now....

Prom looks awesome, great work as usual. I really like the dark organic feel that you have with these characters. The second one is by far my favorite, but I think it kinda resembles the phantoms from the Final Fantasy movie, I think its the head that is doing it. Otherwise great stuff man, keep it up.
