This thread is of drawings that are all from the past month. There might be a gesture or two from before, but the rest are all new.
Here's a girl I met at Barnes and Noble over Christmas Break.

these were drawn while the model was moving slowly. i think you learn more about movement this way because you see it happen right before your eyes. you have the pick the "key frames" instead of the mdel handing them to you.

sweet deal dude.
I used to ask girls from my highschool to pose nude for me all the time.
But now that i'm in college i didn't think it would work.
But you can bet your ass i'm going to try now.

These are fantastic...I am speechless quite like everyone else Did you use pencil for all of these or did you use any different mediums. Also what size do you normally work at...are these just 8 x 10 sheets. Awesome awesome work man...inspiring.

Incredibly beautiful work, especially the first one. It has a very sensual mood to it, it's all in her expression. Her hand nearest to the viewer looks off though, I don't know if it's the hand size or the arm size. It just struck my eye. I may not be reading it right. Other than that, again, incredible work.

Kev- that last drawing of your ex is freaking magnificant, I always thought you did a realy great job at rendering your figure sketches but this one takes your level of detail to a new level. you are realy growing as an artist. I love seeing your new work on the boards.

These are awesome. I've never seen your life work before, insanely impressive.
If you have old work you should make an new thread for your old stuff.

check out his site! he obviously knows his stuff. He's been studying under some guy since he was 12 and is now 21.
The part I was mostly astonished about was that he has filled up 62 sketchbooks. That's right folks, check out his bio. It says that in there!
Shoot, I'll be lucky to fill up half of that in a life time!
O!

Can anyone point out a good brand of pencil for these type of drawings? And how many different grades are needed to make a good rendering?

I actually found college women MUCH more willing to pose nude, with much less coaxing. greater variety of body styles as well.
