Davi made a new section to showcase the best of CA. Please check out all the cool threads that are now in there.

:D

I'm still in the process, of putting all the "cool" threads from the sketchbook section in there.

Keep your cool, I just haven't gotten around to it.

If I may make a vote, I would like to see Mindcandymans "Journey of an absolute Rookie" in this category because - as far as I see it - itīs a great inspiration for many beginning artists. It may have done more in this direction than awesome artwork of great artists ...

do i see that right: you copy the thread, so we have two versions of the same?
won't that lead to maximum confusion with postings taking different directions in the two threads?

isn't there a possibility to disable posting in the best-of.ca thread and have them kind of auto-update from their copy-source?
or just making this forum a set of links like making a thread calling it:
megadump by targete date and forum posted in.
inside the thread, the link to the thread is posted and the thread is closed.

as for the date issues, won't general stickiness of all threads prevent fading?

I noticed that the finally finished is now nice and clean again. Did this occur naturally?

I'm grateful anyway.

MCM's thread is an ongoing thread, so IT's constantly being updated. The best of CA is a section for threads that we dont want to get lost in the midst of CA.

Gekitsu, I like the idea of making a megadump thread of lets say..... Prometheus' work, but I'm not a mod for that section so I can't do anything about it.
Ask Davi. :)

Davi doesn't like too much stickies, so that's why there aren't too many stickies.

Erik, the finally finished thread just got nice and clean again by itself. That's cool :D

ink: i wasn't referring to making a dump thread for one artist but for every cool thread, make a corresponding thread in the "best of" forum with thread name (mega dump, in this examle case), artist name (targete, in this case) and forum posted (finally finished, in this case).
inside this thread, just the link to the original thread is posted so there aren't two versions of the same thread featuring different replies and stuff.

think about that: you copy a cool thread to the best of cs forum. replies are evolving in a certain direction in the best-of-copy while they are evlving a different way in the original thread, including answers of the thread starter or even updates. you would have to check every thread once in a while just to keep the cool stuff up to date.
sounds like a hell of a lot work to me :)

See, thats the thing gekitsu, it is a lot of work and I can't do it, so davi would most likely do it, if he wants to that is.

Okay guys I have put in all the great "sketches and doodles" threads and in the best of CA section. Since I'm only a mod for that section and for the middle class, I can't do anything about any other section.

Another requirement for a thread to go in the "best of CA" section is that it needs to be at least a week old.

If there's anything you guys need, just pm me or I'm usually on aim. My screen name is AmIAnArtist

YEah, you see that's the thing, I'm not a mod for the finally finished forum so I can't do anything about it. I know davi was putting a couple of threads in there, but I dont think he's finished. Oblio, Jason, and Android are also going to be updating the section, but I think they're just to busy.

If only I was a mod for the finally finished section I would have done it by now. *hint, hint*;)

I didn't see that one.

It's now added to the collection :)

mixing threads up isn't the easiest thing to do. Sorry, that won't be happening, but when the conceptart.org full site comes up maybe we can have more leisure with organization.

Then maybe the threads in best of should be locked? Or is that confusing too?

Well, we'll just have to get used to it i guess.
