This is just a quick question for future reference. What are the best schools for illustration? (I am considering concept art)
It doesnt matter the price or whatever, would just like to see a list that I can take a look at for future reference. As I am currently leveling up my skills and trying to fill my wallet up :P.
One more thing can someone tell me about those digital art pads you all use on computer? Also can someone give me the 411 on photoshop? Im interested in it.
On a good note my art work is finally starting to get much better, despite a few setbacks(cough *Nintendo Wii and Zelda*). I'd start a sketchbook on here but my scanner is currently boxed up fir awhile.

Is illustration usually the major into concept art?
Anyways try ringling, they have a nice campus and great facilities.
(ringling thread or ringling.edu)
Wacom make the best art pad, they have many models in the range of $100ish all the way up to $2000. Check out their website.
411 on photoshop, go to adobe.com to get all that, and you can check some tutorials that are fairly basic out at: good-tutorials.com
There are many trial copies of photoshop and other digital graphic software in magazines like imagine fx.

Max the Mutt Animation School, Toronto - www.maxthemut.com - click on "video game artist" on the home page. Also, check out the student gallery and the "careers" page. Max the Mutt offers a high quality education, small classes, a well thought out curriculum, professional instructors who care about their students - this school is both excellent and affordable.

Take a look at some of the schools here: http://www.aicad.org/
Check out some of the student work there and see which one of their programs fits you. Get as much information from them as possible and I would highly suggest taking a tour of the schools there to see where you fit in the best.

Check out the LINK section of this site: http://conceptdesignworkshop.blogspot.com/
In my opinion the best choice would be the Art Center College in Pasadena

Ok....question...If I go to some art school and major in illustration, will I be able to get a concept artist's job? Also, do any of you know of any schools that you would suggest for concept art rather than illustration? And I live on the very east coast so goin across the country for a school is questionable but I'm definitely willing to consider... :) Thanks!!
