I think it was just a round brush set to dissolve so it made tiny dots with real low flow, not sure if he applied any of the brush settings to it, maybe angle to direction or initial direction.

Nope, that doesn't seem to work - can't get them to chain together. Edit: oh woops, nah it works I was still on a dissolve layer. Going to want to turn the spacing down and set angle to direction or intital direction I think.

Ahaha, I was thinking about posting the exact same question a few days ago.

Thanks, I.A.

Did El Coro just do a 'Define Brush Presets' and make a round brush of dots?....so the dots streak into lines...of fur?

I can't find 'Dissolve' in Brush Presets...but I got Photoshp CS 1..so maybe that has something to do with?

Dissolve is a layer mode, Just paint like you would normally but on a dissolve layer. I have no idea what "Define Brush Presets" means.

I'm thinking this brush works best with fewer dots.

Defining a 'Brush Preset' in Photoshop is creating a shape or working from an existing image, making a selection of that shape or a piece of the image, then going to Edit > Define Brush Preset. This essentially takes the shape you have selected and saves it as a brush tip shape with which you can now paint (in Photoshop CS and CS2, any how). Alternatively, using Edit > Define Pattern Preset will save the selection as a texture for use from the brush textures menus to apply to already made brushes.

That's my two cents... the demo, I don't know :)

Is there a way to make this brush (or a similar one) is PS Elements 3.0? It's a long shot, I know, but it'd be nice...

I've never used Photoshop Elements, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't make this brush in it. I remember making a fur brush like this back in Photoshop 3 or 4, so it doesn't need any fancy features.

Just make a brush that looks something like this and make sure the spacing is set all the way down. You can set opacity to pressure and angle to direction to make it look better, but that's really all there is to it.
