Great concept, sadly seems like the skirt has just been used as a substitute for not being able to draw a lower half...many people seem to be doing this...but anyway, top half is great.

cool looking, but if it lives underwater then wouldnt that head crest be difficult to swim with?

uh...it's in color :p

But why is his neck not centered on the body...

I like the head's design, though it's perspectively off...

Another blinder Bone. Your pieces are just great.
A quick question:-
How do you get that great texture on your images?
Is it the paper you work on?
Or perhaps you add it somehow later?
I know you might not want to give up your secrets, but I'm dying to find out, and I'd really appreciate knowing how you get that fantastic look.

Yeah I also asked Bone this but he or anyone else never replied to me:(

So anyway I went and had a go myself, I made a texture using both filters and also scanned in a highly scratched metal plate to make my texture. I suppose the answer really is to just experiment with photoshop, you have to be skilled to make a great natural looking texture with just filters so its best to go out and find some interesting stuff to scan and then work it into a final texture.

Here is a example of what I did, I will give a link as this is Bones thread and don't want to clutter it:)

Since he is underwater...shouldn't he have gills? Don't matter much, Good drawing bones, very good.

For my textures I play with photographs, I don't use photoshop filters.

I mix different textures and play with the curves.
