Hey, everybody! I'm new here, but I'm here for your critiques, so lemme have it.

The piece below was done mostly in Photoshop, but the characters were scanned in.

Now for a drawing I did a while back. After doing a little bit of perspective study in school, I decided to tackle something bigger than just boxes and street corners, so this is what came out of that.

I like the first peice alot, but I think it would be better if there was something more interesting in the background other than the glass, not sure what though. The characters are nicely done and I like the depth of field. Can't give you any real crits on your skills with photoshop b/c Im just starting to learn the program myself.
Your sketches look good aswell but It could just be the fact that they are sketches but it seems you need to practice a bit more on your anotomy in the more life-like sketches.

Thanks, Chrisbro! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Anatomy is something I can definitely improve (always). As for the first piece, I'm not really sure what I'd add to the background that would make it more interesting without being distracting, but I'll keep the suggestion in mind.

Very nice work man. I really like your sketching and posing very dynamic. My only critique would be on the first post, It seems you wanted to go with a gritty feel but I think you didnt reallly have much contrast which makes the scene look rather plain.

Here's a couple of lion studies I did, copying from Ken Hultgren's The Art of Animal Drawing. Just trying to get back into drawing animals, and studying how they're put together.

Very nice work so far! I really like that perspective on the city piece up top. Very cool. You seem to have two very different drawing styles, cartoonish and realistic. Thats good that you can flip back and forth. Great! Keep on going.

Come here kitty kitty kitty. Lol, these cheetahs are awesome. Wanted to say thx for replying in my thread, the legs have always been that pain in my side. Probably because I never used to draw them, they used to give me hell, but at least im getting the hang of it. Little by little I guess tho. Cant wait for more. Cheers!

That cheetah study is really nice work. :) I can literally see it running in front of me, you managed to catch the small things in a clean way without messing it all up with lines, etc.

Mm, great to see yer doing lifedrawings. I should make loads of them myself I guess.. nice BS though! In the first one it looks like you have worked in different layers with different... amount of smudeing.. if you know what I mean? Really like the city in the 2nd post, and your lions are great.

Love the life drawing and the cheetah study.

The comics look great but yeah, a little over-inked. It seems the work some of the ink is doing should be left for colouring?
