Really like these last few colored versions of the Tailor:

That first one's got a cute and funny look(didn't notice those images were grouped, I meant those colored ones at the bottom, the little anime looking kid), second one's got a cool sorta Stryder vibe.

The tailor concepts are really great, especially the little details like the hanging spindles and the scissor/swords.
Looking forward to seeing what else you can do.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Steel Dominion
Part of a class project from last quarter. The idea is to make a game movie trailer/game with the whole class putting their heads and skill sets together. I was the concept artist for the class so I handed these to classmates to 3D model.
Father & son Concept
I strongly disliked where the design for the Father(main chara) went. Maybe the inspiration wasnt there on my end. I went to Melrose, CA some time ago and there was this bum I couldnt stop starting at! He had a sleeping bag on his back sorta side ways and had strap buckles holding it up going from his back collar under and around to his front collar. There was lots of other interesting stuff going on and I really wanted to take a pic but I just had to memorize what I saw. I experienced this after the final design and 3d model was done so I am takin the Father into a side project to re-design.
I wish we had named them. Calling them by there roles is a bit strange.
Soldiers
The soldiers are the main character's oppressors.
I had never really messed with characters like these before so it was challenging and frustrating at the same time.
Alley, Steet and Barricade
I feel with most things I draw, I just dont have enough images in my head of what things look like from life. There were refs used for some but i've realized (actually known) that I dont go out and draw what I see enough and on top of that I jump around a lot with subject matter.
Ill post more of the colours soon.

Waruwari! Hey whats up? Have you been drawing lots since Mess?? Im sure you have been improving!
More Steel Dominion
Alley
I took the first top left sketch from the last post and painted over that.
Like most things I've drawn/painted, I havent spent much time studying the subject matter. It took 3 tries until I started getting what I wanted out of this painting. Much frustration but I guess it payed off. I need to keep on with this so I dont forget what I've learned.
SO MANY GODDAMN THINGS TO LEARN! Its exciting and overwhelming at the same time.
Graffiti art used from random pics of wall art.
Barricade
The top barricade was started with lines and colour while the bottom I started with shapes in grayscale. I felt starting with shapes just made more sense and felt better being that its an angled structure. I feel I should stick to working in grayscale more to get a good grasp on value.
Guard Tower
Buh, I think the old city bums use this guard tower as their Christmas tree. ugh, I liked the silhouettes better.
Tank
Saved in steps so I wouldnt forget how I did this.
Its funny, when I started this I told myself "make sure the thing WORKS!' But I got so caught up in the design, it started to fall apart. The gun would have a real hard time rotating also pointing upwards, the machine gun turrent is in the way of the hatch, and all sorts of other shiz.
Cityscape
My goodness, this took forever! I spent most of the time staring at it, overwhelmed with the amount I had to finish. :p
First started with blocking in the building shapes in layers, then painting the buildings in more detail. Used matte tecniques which really sped up the process.
That tall building on the left, I left looking like a paper cut out. It bugs when I look at it but I was too burnt out to fix.
After all this Steel Dominion stuff, I really just want to focus on one thing at a time so I can grasp it in it's entirety.

Been a hell of a while since last posting.
I really need to level up and posting only on DeviantArt maybe is not the way to go.
Here are some works, sketches, junks Ive done since the last post. Will post more recent stuff later.
The first 3 are random character sketches from last year after going to Insomania Dec 2006. I had an inspiration overload.
The last is from a fashion thread me and a few friends started. This topic being "Punk Funk."
