Hi guys,

Some of you guys might know georgue&guo, he's an artist I admire a lot, so I decided to take one of his sketches and make a 3D model out of it. There are still the posing and lighting tweaking I need to do. This is an in-game model
so it might seem a bit edgy, Ill surely bother with that later on

Enjoy,
*update* heres is the final:

hmm, it looks nice, really like the color mix. But aint 8.4k tris a little much for a game, especially when u're usin a normal map on it?

wow, well tie me down and spank me silly, don;t know who you're talking about but man love what you have achieved and as wanna be 3D artist, your work is inspiring. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of what you can do. You got a personal site with your work?

only one other fing, who washes his feet, now I know a rule of thumb is that all things age and show wear and tear, but that dude has some seriously ugly clean feet, may be a little more work to show that he has to really tread the beat with his feet and that his axe has seen some action, you know kind mkae him look as though he's lived a little and not been pampered? lol

Sirio_Brozzi: thank you!

geldsaw: thanks, my personal site is a DA account for now :). http://gloomingshade.deviantart.com. And thanks for the crit, its really important that the character shows some history (is believable). If I wasnt so fed up working on this guy I would made the changes you've suggested. I worked like 5 days straight on him. (50-60 hours). And that was on the holidays :( . So Im taking a break for now, and waiting calls from Ubi/EA

VashTheStampede: Thank you. Just for you :

Wise choice,

How long have you been doing 3d?

Have you applied and/or gotten an interview at Ubi?

If so; how did it go? What type of questions have they asked you?

Thanks

I've been doing 3D for 1 1/4 years. I went to CentreNAD's school. Where it is 1 year straight (no breaks) learning 2D/3D art from some of Ubi Montreal's guys. Ubi saw the stuff I did in school but I got no response from them, so Ill give my CD demo in person tomorrow morning at the reception there.
