Hello; my name is [censored], but my username is Hanatori, and I finally decided to swallow what little pride I have in my work and post some stuff here, because I really need to get some critiques and improve if I plan to have a career in art.

So, without further adieu, here's a small sample of my work from the past few months...

Scumbly bear:

I sat down and did a blind contour drawing of myself in the mirror, and then rendered it with colored pencils and watercolor pencils:

This was for an Advanced Drawing assignment; we had to draw a seated figure, and this sleepy guy was the only one that looked like he wasn't going to shift around in his seat in study hall. Despite the legless tables, I think this is my best work:

Just an example of what my normal drawing style looks like now. I've been trying to get away from the anime influence a bit, or at least develop something slightly unique, but to no success so far:

I've done a lot more work than this in the past few months, but I haven't scanned a lot of it, so if I get around to scanning said pictures, I might show them.

Your lacking in anatomy. Try posting some anatomy studies, figure studies, and also some life studies. THese will help you tremendously with your art. Try this link below, and go to Andrew Loomis books once on the other side. Try doing some studies of his work.

I did save most, if not all of the pages from Figure Drawing For All It's Worth several months ago, but I haven't done much with them. I will try drawing some studies from the book, though; thanks.

I do have a few drawings where I copied from Leonardo da Vinci's studies, such as these two:
