Well, aside from it being a duck (im assuming that its a placeholder for your hawk) It seems to me like you could spend a little time defining the main character's form a little better, the contour lines you have around the edges kindof throw off the sense of depth. if you shade up to them, and maybe clean up the edges it will read a lot better imo.
Also try to maintain the image as a whole, with all the different areas equally finished. It seems like you spent so much time on the body, and defining the muscles that you left the fabric unrendered and practically untouched. Go in there and get those parts that you left unfinished up to the same level as the rest of the image.
