Whats a good resolution for a scanner? I am thinking of buying an Epson Perfection 1660 or whatever and the dpi thing is 1600x3200 (i think) is that good?
Its only like 150 bucks? (ripoff?)

I have a HP scanjet 3570c, paid bout 120/50 bucks (not sure cause I live in Europe, but it wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive), and it works like a charm.
I personally don't care much for the very bedst scanners, cause the premium you pay for them isn't worth it. Especially now that Photoshop can save mostly anything. I'd rather use the money on a bigger tablet.
What I care is that it can scan at a resolution of 200dpi.

from what I heard the Epson scanners are really good.

Yeah, the problem is that I don't have photoshop and know close to nothing on how to use it properly and therefore won't be buying a wacom tablet any time soon. I just want a good scanner so I could post here and find ways to improve.
