hey everyone
This is another speedpainting test that i tried, i tried to use different brushes to do differnet things, but it ended up slowing me down and i just dont seem to be able to nail those cool speedpainting brushes that everyone uses.

Critism and advice are greatly appreciated as always and if anyone knows about those brushes please let me know.

It took about 3 hours to paint

Thanks
Werner

Well...I don't like how it's outlined. It's reallyreallyreally distracting me and busying up the composition. As far as brushes go, lots of people use Nagel's series brushes or Barontieri brushes, both of which will show up in a google search. The really cool guys make their own brushes (except Ian McCaig, freakishly good artist who uses the most basic of the basic brushes). I think most speedpainters start by just blocking in rather than doing a line drawing, if that helps. Mandryk has a neat process pic in his recent thread, and you'll see what he can do in 10 minutes and how he does it. Hopefully that helps. Happy trails!
