Nice man! keep posting =) you dont need to customize brushes
yet, just get the basic down first , and then it may become acctual to do something with the brushes ;) standars are enough so far ;)

Hey man! cool to see you've posted some drawings, I think they look good. But if you want to develope fast, you need to do some studies here and there. Draw from life and make notes. Trash the colorwork for a moment and take time with the pencil, learn as much as possible about contrasts and values. It's really hard to learn everthing at once. Impossible really. ;)

oh, and PS - check out this thread http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16180&page=4

Your pencils are pretty good man, you seem to have alot of patience with pencils, especially on your first few posts. I like your creature concepts alot. More practice on photoshop would be good though, practice blending your colors a little more. You might want to look at some tutorials. Great job so far though.

hey, nice drawings and concepts. I think your doing great with your studies, just make sure to do some anatomy studies, learn the muscles, learn to apply the perspective to your figures in order to make them more solid. You can start to use more simple shapes like circles, cilinders, to give structure to your characters. Kevin Chen is a great master in this aspect, i recommend to you that you give him a look. http://www.angelfire.com/art3/kchendemos/
Anyways, hope it helps and just keep working hard and learning.
Cheers

Get those speed paints under your belt. Learn a little about how light works and how it effects the surface of an object what happends if it turns on an angle and so forth Learning to paint in ps is mostly about excuicution and how you paint once you get that down it's learning about value color and all the fun stuff. Just remember to have fun.

Hi Mouser, good exercises. Maybe you should slow down a bit while drawing. Try drawing the Loomis figure with a ball point pen: that will force you to think more while you draw. Hope this helps. Keep going!
