Hey All. New to these forums (or any forum for that matter) very impressed with a lot of the art around here, so I decided to post some of my stuff as well.

These are kinda old and I don't remember exactly how long these drawings took but probably around the 15-20 minute range. Comments and crits welcome

Thanks. Anyone have any crits? I went through a little stretch were I didn't really draw much, then I signed up for a life drawing class to get back into it, these drawings are from that class. I'm sure there's a lot to criticize.

I have thick skin so forget being gentle, bring it! :D

Nice Handle, heh heh.

They look really nice. Draw the hands! I know you can do it.

Haha. You're onto me Grooveholmes! I do have a tendency to get lazy and leave out the hands once in a while, I'll watch out for it more next time.

Crazy avatar btw, (in a good way) hehe

Gonna post some more when I find some drawings with hands...

Here are some more drawings. The first image is some gesture stuff. All the other ones are around the 30-40 minute range. Crits would be appreciated.

looks really good. i especially like the first one from the last row. the gesture stuff flows pretty well, too, at least the right one. the first...hm, maybe you're focusing a bit too much on the contour lines? don't know though, i'm pretty uneducated concerning gesture drawing...
your last sketch looks a little weird...i think you exaggerated the form of her breasts and her belly a little, didn't you? plus, her left arm-shape's definately not right...
anyway, lovely sketches, keep going :)

Thanks for the crits golgari.

As for the last drawing on the left the model actually looked like that since I remember thinking "This chick kinda has a big stomach..." hehe. All models can't be perfect, that's the beauty of it. But I do agree with you though that the drawing looks weird, definitely not one of my better efforts.

No one's noticed I left the hands out of the bottom middle drawing. I have to stop doing that...

so is there a reson almost all these are viewed from the back?
Showed up late to class... just like backs..... studying backs... coincidence.. fear of doing the portrait.... perserving your models annonymity?

just curious

hmmm. I didn't notice that before, but now that you mention it, it seems like they are mostly from the back. We didn't have a large room for life drawing class and the students usually sat in the same spot, I guess I got stuck on the spot the model doesn't face too often.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'll watch out for it when I take another class.
