I think you might have to rename this guy the self mutilator or something
like that.

I'm not in the concept art biz but I assume an important aspect would
be functionality. I'm thinking that sword would be difficult to remove
without slicing off his head or other arm. And the straps would be difficult
to run or walk for that matter (kick?)

Visited your site and quite enjoyed your graphic work, very good.

Nice job, but it looks as if the sword is going into his shoulder. There is definitely something wrong with his hand and fingers, maybe try looking at your own hand then drawing the hands on. The arms are also a bit anatomically incorrect. Though, that could just be your "style". Good work nontheless though, good job.

Oh wow, this has given me a ace idea for a character!...I was thinking about your comments and thought "well what if the sword WAS going into his shoulder, would that make it wrong?"...so now I am having ideas about a mad "zombie" kinda guy who actually sticks his sword into his chest as a place to hold it!!, then pulls it out when needed...then back in!

Watch out for this character in the near future:)

I like the sound of that idea.

Me and my significant other are both illustrators and some of our best ideas come from each others critiques.
