Long time lurker, first time poster here. Have greatly enjoyed alot of the work on this site and would appreciate any and all crits on my first post.
I am looking to learn alot more from you guys so please be as helpful as you can.

First of all, shrink it. It should be 25% of it's current size.

Could you post a bigger resolution of the image as a text link? It looks nice as it is, very well rendered, but I would like to see the detail that you have in there.

very nice work! I think a little more detail with some ambient light would help out a little in the solid black areas.

It's cool, my big crit would be that lack of color -- I think you could get alot of mileage out of a subtle coloration to the near-nuetral mid-values... particularly if you stay in the cool range which would help the warm glows pop more.

really polished piece (bad pun i know and i apologize)
i'd just recommend you tone down the skills or else you will make alot of people mad. like myself.:rendered:

I agree with stalsby, you should add another light source to show more detail
