Try actually getting the image to post on here, but since it is geocities, I guess it is ok. Good drawing, try practicing more on the guys bicep. It looks abit too round to be real. Also, something about the womans legs looks wrong. Other than that stuff, good drawing, try getting a better host though; geocities isn't too good.

link again, there is something special about geocities that makes it diifferent but I forgot what it is. Usually you get more responses when you actually post the image then link it.

Anyways, good drawing, do something about the torso, it looks out of whack. Also the left hand is kinda of mishapen seams like. Oh, and it looks like it kinda blurred, maybe it is just me. Not much else, nice drawing!

Whew.... a bit testy aren't you? Incognito is GIVING crtis and you're giving him crap about his attempt to get you to understand that people like to see images... not links. YES, all you have to do is click on it but your sloww connecting folk might decide to pass you by.

BUT Stale...

if clicking a link bothers you so much don't do it! I really don't want to hear your opinions on it.

Well, alrighty then...

I post on this board to hear imput on my work, not my methods of showing it. I am sorry if it sounded like I didn't appreciate incognito's crit, I did and tryed to make changes directly pertaining to what he said. But as far as comments on being links not images, well as far as I know it is not a rule on this section of the board yet to not allow links. If this is not so then a Moderator can correct me.

Also I meant opinions on linking method not my image, that was my bad for not communicating better. No hard feelings where meant, I just didn't want a third comment by incognito on how if I direct link an image I'll get more posts.

By the way I am an avid poster, and do give crits usually with paint overs. I appreciate the same but try no to whine if I don't get it back. I usually learn a lot about my own work by criting and that usually is enough.

Also I think it is stupid I have to defend myself, when you could have done so much more by giving me a good crit Stalecracker...

Nobody said you couldn't post inks. It was simply stated that you get better results with images. That's all. If you link to a gigantic image you'll get comments on how to size it down. It's all fair game when posting. My point is this... Just be civil. If someone is giving you info you don't agree with or isn't what you want... you don't have to be a dick. For all I know, you are NOT a dick... but the last comment of-

I'm sorry, I appreciate your imput, but DUDE if clicking a link bothers you so much don't do it! I really don't want to hear your opinions on it. Thanks.

Is really "Dick-ish". Incognito was nice and helpful.

Anyway... I looked at your painting. I think you should spend a little more time in the sketch phase. It looks like you have a nice idea forming but are trying to "find" it as you go along. The result is an image that gets muddy. Solve the mystery of your image in the sketch state and then the painting part flows... I think it could be a nice "warrior in repose" image when it's done. Also- his eye's need focus. He does'nt appear to be looking at anything. Either at the viewer or to the side would be nice. Right now he looks to be in a stare.

QUICK ( I mean quick) paint over...

I gave his eye's some focus.
Added a shield for balance.
Adjusted the sword.
and positioned the front foot a little more solider ( I KNOW that's not a word)

Hope that's a little helpful.

You're right it was being a little dickish. I may have even been a little upset when I wrote it due to other junk. But I thought it was my right to state what was on my mind. Maybe I have been watching too many John Wayne movies:P

Thanks your crit is really good, you have given some definite form with such little effort to the torso! I kinda don't dig the shoulder pad job you did, but it does help the profile and kinda bulk him up, as with the legs, and you made it look like he is transitioning to the forward one, truthfully you have thrown too much at me at one time. I will study from it, thanks!
