very cool painting as usual. That banner is cool...very bad-ass. Love your stlye....
Curious about your painter methods...do you use a lot of layers or mainly work on just one canvas?

Every time I see that you have posted something new it feels like christmas. I get that giddy excitment right before I open your threads. thank you for sharing this exclusive work.
I wanted to coment on how sucesfull I have been finding your use of images on tapastries and cloth in alot of your recent images. for me it creates a great metaphore about art and the boundaries of illusion, without the boarders of the flag that dragon would be a dragon in the scene, but the fact that you have made it a 2d image in a 3d space it gives more contrast to the figures and creates a much more belivable atmosphere, and it looks cool too.
Josh, it dosent look like dante, it just reminds you! of dante cuz you play too many videogames,

Jon I love your work, I cannot stress that enough. As with many other great artists here, it really serves as a form of nourishment to me, just to see you all's offerings. Motivating. It keeps me humble and gives me something to aspire to. (You too Andrew.)
As for the image itself, I'm still looking. Hate to sound like a fan.........but yeah. =)

i love this style. the noses! the noses are my favorite, i love to draw red noses and red ears with pale faces and dark eyes! simple beautiful.
a suggestion - trying to see if i could step up to the plate here and bite off more than i can chew - i think the smeary blobs in the background are taking from the composition. i feel tension on the lower left area and everywhere else that has that effect in the background. i love the soft white background it feels breezy.
guessing you wont got back into it from the sounds of it.
your style is so interesting and unique, i didnt get you anything ..
merry christmas

These covers were supposed to be for a new young adult line over at wotc. It turned out they have had a big layoff and new people are in new positions and they did not think these were a good look for their young adult line. I have to admit they are probably right. These covers look too much like their regular line to make set them apart as anew line. Oh well.
Tj, thanks I appreciate drool I have three dogs and two cats (the cats drool too).
Thanks to all for such complements, Joshua I?m still stuck in my doorway, help yourself to some brushes and paint.
Killing, thanks for the critique. I have seen your chompers over in the self-portrait section and you have no worries, you have the smarts and drive to eat a whole cow!
Jucas, yes please feel free to pass on advice. I am always going to be learning.
Blackarts, I wish at times I could use lots of layers in painter but I can not figure out how to make it stop mixing white with each brushstroke. So I just paint on the canvas, unless of course it is watercolor then I have no choice.
Nick, if you at my brains you could possible get coru and them the person who at your brains and so on and so on. Plus you would get all my undesirable neurotic tendencies. I attached a close up of the armor. I?m afraid it is not all that exciting in detail.

This may be an evil question, but... i'm new to painter7, and i see alot of people do very realistic looking paintings with a brush that looks very much like what a real paint brush whould do. Could you give me some tips on what i should be using to get that technique.
If you don't know what i mean, it looks like you used it on the cheek of the figure(one with the closeup) and you used it in the background around him alot too...
I feel like a goon, and i hope i make some sense.
