Here's another character concept...I've spent a bit more time on this than the others because I got lazy and REALLY effed up the proportions. Anyhow, I'm not particularly happy w/ his left hand, but what's a brotha to do? Enjoy :)

I like it. The arm does seem a bit stiff, but Only through practice and trial and error, will you be able to draw in more dynamic poses. Arms are the hardest thing for me to draw, so I sempathize...
Maybe next time, you should mess around more with a primlinary sketch, before you go into details.
All the details and shading are great!

That's a nice rendering! Maybe if you showed a cast shadow beneath his feet it would emphasize the fact he's floating.

I like it. He seems like a powerful character, so it's odd that he has shackles on his feet. Makes me think that there might an interesting stroy behind that. I like the mouth. It looks like it has stitches on it which enhance the frown.

Hey I did a quick paint over

to show what my first figure drawing teacher said about hands, and that is it's easier to start fingers by drawing them as french fries! Also I think the second key to fingers is that they are spaced out a wee bit from each other. You also have a wee too much space top of the hand there. I think Hogarth made branches, but you kinda need something simple to start with:)
I like the design, he's bony and has no eyes and floats thus it seems he is supernaturaly alive. If I had drawn it, I'd be like "must draw the ankles." But the shackles are cool. The way he has a hood and a skirt it kinda looks like he is a mage, but then tha big scythe is there, and I'm thinking maybe a Talisman. But then you have the two knives. And the mouth, is it sewn shut? I think you moved away from the Dark summoner Idea a bit, but it looks cool, and that counts.

not bad at all~not much probs with the proportion..just the hand is alil off like what dustin pointed out..the right arm is made of wood?if it is..then the stiffness is accepted:)
keep posting ;)

This is nice except for that hand.
Also, the scythe looks really bent like that.. it should come in front of his body.. I don't think the angle of the hand that's holding it is making things better.
