i have this nasty habit of morphing into whatever i've been staring at long enough. Recently.....Rusty's sketchbook...ha...he's good. For a while it was the sketches of beeba.net (check it out if you haven't already) As far as "my style" i'm workin on my favs. I have to admit I kinda pride myself on versatility, cause as you know an illustrator with one style is a fly by night illustrator. Keep the crits comin though guys! I REALLY appreciate feedback!

that last ones looking nice phil, sorry i completely missed yer previous update...that chick with the doly parton jubbly`s is my fave..:)
one thing you should work on is yer line weights, try using the side of the pencil to get a nice broad line(holding the pencil like yer giving someone the thumbs up) to plan out yer drawing first, then use the tip for details..i hardly ever use the tip unless its for details myself, but then everyones got their own ways..
Try not to rush yer drawings man, take yer time...Alot of the time i see professional drawings that look rough, but i bet my money on it that they took alot longer to do than they look..
Its good to see yer staying with yer own style rather than being heavily influenced, keep it up man..:)
PS...whats with the dude with the taped up anus.

thanks for the help man..I've been practicing quite a bit lately. HA the taped up anus...it does look like that. I guess I just didn't want to draw the ole' sphincter (sp?) and penis especially at that angle....those are good examples of brain farts...i was just lettin loose on those sketches.

hulk...in progress inspired by jsweet's in progress. Thanks...I'm tryin to self-teach myself computer illustrating. I have what i consider to be a huge weakness in color and light sources.....so it should make for a really interesting (and hopefully not to crappy) piece. I like it so far. I laid down line work in PS 7.0 then created a color layer that I am now blending with the ...blend tool? (Ctrl R) And anywho...it's a sloooow process but it looks cool. only thing is, i'm having to blend the linework in with the colors for a dark outline..lame ...yes. BUT..what other way is there. I know someone can help...haha
on with the pic and ending of my short story:

nice stuff here phill, glad someone listens to my advice..lol...maybe try getting anatomy more in proportion first, then youll see how far things should be pushed to keep the drawing (although exagurrated)believable in a way...
With that last hulk paiinting, you could flatten out the shape of his arms, there way to defined and bulked out..his waist could be filled out quite a bit also...
other than that its quite a good start man,..welldone.:)
