Jungle of Problems

So here is a new illustration of mine, for my current level of knowledge i may say I had a good start but the image looks dull right now and i feel there are a couple of problems in it, so plz help...and you may get a candy :p

it looks dull and lifeless because all the colours have a lot of white or black in them
where the sun hits a surface the colour becomes more saturated and brighter
use that to get a focuspoint in your pic

When working in black and white, the easiest place to start fixing an overly neutral composition is to draw in the darkest areas pure black, and the lightest areas pure white. Even if the darkest and lightest areas are tiny specks of shadow and hilight. Add those, and work from there.
