In my limited spare time I'm learning and drawing art more and more, trying to eventually have a fairly decent portfolio sometime in fall so I can start the job hunt :) I'm quite capable of creating my own characters from my mind and drawing up simple characters from character descriptions I recieve for comic book projects. But the thing is, I'd like to get into the groove now of drawing up other peoples characters... because if I manage to land a job as a concept art or illustrator I'd have to draw from detailed descriptions... I know there is DSG, but that's like a sentence long topic to draw on... its not really a description.

So I was wondering if there is a place to go for detailed character/environment/vehicle descriptions that artists can draw from... or maybe a thread to be started for people to post such descritptions, much like Eliphos 003 thing Matt wrote up:

... except ideas are posted by anyone anytime so there's a collection of descriptions that any of us can use.

I was thinking maybe to work on a mod or something, but that's totally out of the question... I mean, i think it'd be fun to work on one and I don't mind working for free, but I don't want to be on a schedule and I just want to work on these things when I can.

..... rambling complete :)

Try sci-fi or fantasy novels. Or any novels.

Erik - I'm obviously just stupid and didn't think of that =p LOL... thanks btw :) It would still be cool to have a thread with this stuff though.
