I just found this site and have had a look around for a while. Lots of you guys produce some absolutely incredible work! Anyway, I am not much of an artist, I just sketch things quickly as a reference for making game levels.

After browsing for inspiration for level ideas, I could not really find anything of use - most things are of characters, not environments. I was wondering if someone had some environment sketches lying around or knew where I can get some. I am looking for futuristic/industrial indoor environments.

Thanks :D

Try:
www.artbyfeng.com

Or try to get inspiration from photo references:

Or go look for inspiration in real life (best option)!

why not look at photos... bad to rip off other artists' concepts... i suggest National Geographic.

Thanks for the fast replies, but photos are not relevant to the kinds of things that I would make in a level. As for looking inside myself.....I obviously do this a lot to come up with my own ideas but sometimes I just need inspiration.

I am after some stuff similar to the Halo 2 concept art I found on their site :http://halo.bungie.net/site/halo/features/concept_art10.html. I found this place by searching for 'concept art', hoping to find some similar stuff to what is at that page.

Togusa, it is not bad to use other peoples concepts at all. In fact in game design, there are concept artists that come up with the designs for the levels, which is then made by somebody else.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, thanks for those links Toaster. They are great

Well if you are really going to do levels etc off other people's stuff be sure to get their permission and credit them.

Erik - Oh yeah, I would definitely give credit where it is due. Nobody has posted any of their work yet though. I'm not asking anyone to draw specifically for me (although that would be great :D), I was just wondering if somebody had any old concepts that I could use. I can't use anything that was posted earlier, as that is all copywrited.

Anything like a door design, corridor details or whatever would be very useful. Thanks in advance.
