Pretty disgusting. Nicely drawn but still revolting.

pretty nice work. :) furry addict, eh?
there are a hand full of issues here and there, but for now, this is a pretty solid bit of pencil work.
things to critisize would be:
overall form modelling: next to nowhere, you clearly tell what is light and where is shadow. you have some nice tone variations in places (face, feet) but they are set off by clear areas like her belly that kind of kill the beauty of the rest.
some of the fur edges look a tad too hard imho:
you have pretty hard edges at skin areas but also yuite hard edges at areas where you indicate longer hair like her upper leg, her tail or her cheeks.
you could underline the fluffiness of the longer hair passages against skin or short hair nicely by adding contrast between hard and soft edges.
some anatomy issues:
her lower legs look a bit too short. especially the lower one looks a good bit shorter than the upper one.
her upper arms look a bit strange, too: her right one is obviously very short while her left one is quite long.
the sky detracts, as you did one of the few huge no-nos of hatching: you varied the direction of the hatchure 90 degrees. this produces a very eye-popping pattern that distracts a lot.
as a rule of thumb, i change my hatchure angle just as much as needed to make the lines cross at a reasonable amount. not making them too parallel but not 90 degrees either.
one could argue about the hair looking a bit too comic-y but this is really nitpicky :)
i like how you blended human facial expression with animal anatomy.
you could do some tonal studies from life (simple things... just to get a feeling for light and shadow), as a little bit more form rendering could greatly improve the impact of your drawings.

No, not a furry addict I just have always loved blending animals and humans. THANK you so much for taking the time to critique me.Lots of great points...and thanks for the tip about the cross hatching..I couldn't figure out what 'i was doing wrong.
I miss critiques which is why I signed up here...it's been years!!!!!!!!
I think I need to spend a bit more time getting the anatomy right...I tend to rush on drawings and get really involved in the shading too early so I I don't notice any anatomy probs until a few days after I'm done (or I just ignore em hoping no one will notice)Ew, and I didn't see that arm thing until you pointed it out...wow, it's much longer!!!! :)
Thanks again!
Hey and Blackfish:
"perversion runs rampant
Pretty disgusting. Nicely drawn but still revolting."
"Perversion runs rampant"? Are you serious?I don't get it.It's just a naked fox chick. It's a human body with a fox head on it and some wierd lookin feet.Big deal, man.I don't see why some people get so grossed out and have to get rude...I guess it's that whole "furry" porn stuff that alot of people get really offended by.Well that's understandable, perhaps you mistake me for one of "them"...If I had drawn her genitalia or had her in a suggestive pose or crap like that I could understand. But dude, it's just a nude study. I feel like it's pretty obvious that this isn't intended to be porn or a perversion. No offense intended, please don't take my response to be an attack but you draw big boobed cowgirls and nude centaur lion chicks( uh, hello? http://www.jmringuet.com/liongirls.htm_) so you don't have a problem with sexualizing the female body or with athropomorph nudity...so why leave a comment like that?
Well, at any rate I appreciate the compliment even if you have a problem with the subject matter for whatever reason.Thanks.:)

You mean that furry porn stuff? Yeah, it's bad news.It sucks because I draw something like that fox chick and people put the furry label on me...it's okay if they do unless they are one of those people that violently hates furries and says rude shit for no good reason.
Oh well.At least other people made me feel welcome on here.

Cool answer missmonster! :) I never said I wasn't a pervert myself and I think that girls with lion bodies are quite revolting too ;)
That being said I think furries are just stupid. Mixing humans with animals is one thing. Getting excited over zoophiliac porn is something else. But that's just what I think, I'm not pretending I'm right.
If your piece is not furry, although it's close to look like a furry, I was dead wrrrrrong in my comment. On the other hand I wasn't rude, just tongue in cheek. When I will be rude you will see the difference.
Conclusion: like I said, nicely drawn. Very good style. I hope to see different things from you in the future :)

These are both pretty interesting, the dragon dude is sound and stands out well with a good composition, and has a great pose and flow to it.
Like Joshuathejames said if you bumped up the contrast and added some strength to the colours it would be a much stronger piece. I think it would benefit from a central focul point too but i reckon its sound.

Yeah you guys are right..I think I may go in and add some more contrast in the colors and shading and make things "pop" a bit more. Thanks for the crits!
And thanks on all counts, Blackfish!I will definately post some non furry stuff soon! :)
