this is my second post. the first one was to describe what i use in photoshop for crap. anyway.

I'm new here. Be kind. Rewind. I'm new here. Be kind. Rewind. I'm new here. Be ....

Anyway. I've been lurking on this message board for the past few days while at work (when I'm actually supposed to be working - and have actually been caught by the boss looking at this site.. hehe). The art I've seen so far is quite inspiring and makes me hungry to be a better artist.

I've never done computer art aside of paintbrush® on the old windows 3.11 systems back in highschool.

here's my first ALL photoshop selfportrait .. there's no reference other than the one in my head... this is how it came out.

once i'm cool enough to have DSL at home, i'll start scanning my art. most of my stuff is nothing like this. comments are welcome.

im not really good at this, but i suggest you use a mirror for the next one, learn something about the anatomy of the skull, and then draw, draw, draw!! and draw some more :)
and you can post your work here for crits :)

Actually, I know a little about it. I wasn't going for anatomically correctness to begin with. this is a trac-ball mouse and one paintbrush in photoshop 5.5 on a PC for christ sake. :)

Quite simply, this was crap to post so that the rest of my stuff that I hope to post soon will look nice compared to something here. :)

Anyhow, yeah. I draw a lot, but still need so much work on various things. i'll figure it out one of these days though.

I tend to not draw things from the inside out. ya know how some people will draw a circle then slice a side off and draw some lines on it and eventually it's a head? well, i dont do that. I kinda just look at a head or imagine one in my head and throw it up through my pen or pencil. it's weird. i know.

anyhow, thanks for the encouraging critique.
