Considering Ethiopia is mopping up the islamic fighters I wouldn't worry too much. Now if she were going to Somalia, I'd get nervous.

SU-30's (though I believe the Ethiopian's only have upgraded SU-27's) are more akin to our F-15's (large, air superiority fighters, vice small, shorter range, point defense fighters).

It's one of the silliest military acquisitions in the region. SU-27's are mean. The Ethiopian Air Force only has to be annoying to dominate its neighbors.
