Some concepts for a new painting I'm working on. Thought they came out ok, so I figured I'd share em with ya. :)

They're going to be dancing around an alter while one of the demons spanks a fallen angel with his "big paddle". ;) There's a fifth demon, but it's behind the alter and you can't really see him at all, so I didn't bother to include him.

Here's the Angel that's being spanked...

Hope ya like em. :)

Wow. Something looks wrong with the angels leg, maybe I don't know anatomy though. Is the spanking demons eye gonna be pointed downwards towards the angel? Well, thats all I can say, not much wrong with it.

very stylized and clean, I really like the last 3.

personally i would suggest NOT putting a female in this piece. i've seen you do alot of females as your subject matter, try shifting the focus on other things.
i personally like the one with the horse skull the most probably because i'm a more into 'dark'/edgey artists myself over flowers and oceans.

I really cant' tell what is going on with the feet on the scarecrow. his legs look too short and flumsey(is that a word?)

The pig looks pretty cool also but the head in the pose bothers me for some reason, it could be the inkwork that is creating a problem for me though.

and for the very first one it's neat but the head bugs me, the top of the head has so much going on that it just generally looks bad, and eyeball in the socket just looks like a card board cut out. Might want to move it further back in the head.

good luck with your next piece.

Nice and clean linework. Look forward to you colouring some of these.

Thanks for the comments and critiques everyone, much appreciated. :)

Davi~ As far as the comments on the girl/angel go. Sorry dude, she's got to stay. I was asked by a book publisher if I had a "spanking piece" for a new book he's putting together. All he cares about is the girl, I've added all the fantasy stuff so's I don't have to be board while painting it. ;)

Thanks for the crits on the demons too, they're kind of hard to make out in B&W, especially the scarecrow, he's kind of sloppy. I never actually meant for these to be shown on their own, just intended them to be used for the painting. But, they came out ok and I know I usually don't share this type of stuff with folks, so I figured now would be a good a time as any to start. :)

I'll post a paint-rough after I get things set up so you can see how everything will go together in the painting...

Thanks again for the comments all. :)

the skeletal jack-in-the-box is excellent. I love that you've given him a horses head...very dark

"Let the spanking commence!"

Wonderful! Although the angel's leg seems... odd.

Looks good!
I really like your style.. it kinda reminds me of my own style of drawings.... though i can't seem to have the final touch, like you have.

haha, they are all ready to spank and/or paddle her. It almost tells a story as you scroll down the images. very cool stuff. the concepts strike me as very creative (aside from the angel, of course)

Thanks for the feedback all. :)

Here's what I've got painted so far...

Just getting things set up, haven't started rendering any details yet.

The colors are accurate to the best of my knowledge, but the characters aren't really standing out much. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can keep the color pallet for the piece cohesive, but get the individual characters to pop out more, I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

Can anyone see the pattern in the cracks in the ground?

Anyway, thanks again for the comments on the concept drawings, much appreciated. :)

I didn't notice the pattern at first, but after I read your question, I went back and saw them.

I'm not sure what medium/software you're using, but if it's photoshop, you can do the colors they would be, then use multiply and/or opacity.

It's probably realistic for them to be flooded with red, but this is a peice of art, and not necessarily a photo.

I saw the pattern earlier, but I didn't realist it was supposed to be obscure so I didn't mention it :D
