Alright, so I have the ENTIRE WEEK off of work and school!!! Actually having time to throw down some ink is rare for me and I want to make the most of it. So, I beg someone, any one, to challenge me to a duel. The best way to become a good fighter is to challenge those that are superior to you, so consider this a glove across the grill.

Topic is completely open for suggestion, but I would like to incorporate at least one character. Considering that I am pretty much a n00b compared to the masters around here, I suggest "Fresh Meet" as the topic, but it is entirely open for discussion. As a rule, I suggest that we have the topic decided by end of day on friday, Dec 22.

Style: Every man for himself.

Deadline: Let's make it Jan 2nd.

how about a theme based on two video game or cartoon characters meeting one another for the first time that's "fresh meat" and is broad and general?

ex. Sabertooth (Xmen/Marvel) meets Kimahri(from FFX and X2)

Topic:: "Fresh Meat"
Open for interpretation. The final piece must include at least two characters (humanoid), no more than five. Size and composition is also open. Piece should be original artwork only and should be digitally rendered (photoshop, painter, etc.).

Deadline: Due to the holiday schedule and in the interest of baiting some more suckers, I decided to extend the deadline. Final Images must be posted in this thread by the end of day January 15th.

Last day to join in on this will be January 2nd. 'Tis the day after New Years so you can all put that new drawing tablet that Santa (or Uncle Yosef) got you to good use and start on that new years commitment to better your drawing skills.

Maybe you should specify medium restrictions if there are any. :) And maybe more narrow rules, like at least 2 chars, and 3 at most, or something like that, because some of those reborned old masters around here could do 20 figure piece and we'll be screwed! :^^;: \w/

Also I'd like to point out that do characters have to be humaniod or do animals count as characters.

Who will judge the comp.
Will it be a community poll.

i've read some of the Chow Rules I think they can be a good guideline.

I personal feel the topic fresh meat is too general but that is just opinion......

i always like seeing sketches and wips-but i don't mind holding those out until the final image is posted either. for me personally though my sketch may not be that much of a plan if due by the 5th - i've got a fresco/renaissance techniques studio class i'm taking for my schools wintersession (tomorrow: 10 coats of hand ground gesso and a few layers of rabbit skin glue...what else could there be to life?):D wait no wrong smiley:$

Ahoy! Here tis, but I apogize for the poor quality and light of the piccie - need to get a good digital camera, but anyhoo touched it up a lot in photoshop!

Here's the story:

Ages ago, in the distant land of MuttonHoag, sailors would cross the Great Sea of Mitten in order to trade for the rare burnished tea kettles and silver plates of the far north. A sacrifice of a Bibwit fish was made during each trip, to appease the great beast of the depths known only as Jibblytubs. However, if the sacrifice was not made in time before the halfway of their destination, the great Jibbly would rise from it's slumber and capsize the vessel, leaving but one sailor unharmed to bring his tale back home. Have the sailors sacrificed in time, or will they become the FRESH MEAT?
