Which programs do you think are better to start with?

Hi guys i would really like to become a concept artist, but i am really confused with what programs i should use (corel painter and photoshop or other programs?) whether or not i should use a tablet.

Please can someone give me an idea on how to get started?

Pencil and paper come first, then branch out into digital work. Painter, Photoshop and a tablet are all useful tools...but only if you can draw without them first.
