I did this image over the weekend. Its a sketch colored over in ps. Maybe some of you guys can give me some crits or some helpful tutorials I could look at. I've been trying to learn how to color and do environments. Shading techniques for skin is also really hard. Thanks -Joe

if i was going to say anything about this peice, i think my comments would be reserved for the wall on the right hand side. There is just something really romantic about it. The "apple gaurd" doesn't really fit the scene to me. I thin it's the way he is drawn versus the way the wall on the opposing side has been created.
The gaurdian himself looks very...sheez...uh...how to say this....amateur? The wall on the other side looks absolutely wonderful. So, for me i suppose there is a tension in style.
I do enjoy that the man on the bridge is running away, this gives the peice more life. It becomes an illustration of an event, not simply a giant blue guy sitting on a bridge in the middle of a scene. (aka portrait)
well, hope my comments were handy .
