Hi guys,
I left my sketchbook with someone last night in a delerious and tired state, and it didn't make it back to me yet this morning. If someone's got it, can they pass it back to me or Emily HP if they see her, or failing that, give it to reception.
The important bit is probably the flight information in there rather than the actual pictures, though obviously I'd like to have those back as well!
Christian, feeling silly :)

Not yet... Someone must know they have it as well, cause I was asked to see it before I went to bed, and they knew I wanted it back. Can't remember the guy's name though :/

Reception doesn't have it either. Somebody out there has it, so I don't understand why it's taking more than a day to get back to me... outta here in an hour anyway.

:sniff:

Speaking of loose ends from that night..... did Marco Nelor make it home alive? That dude was toasted, I wasn't sure he was gonna even find his way out of the building, let alone SFO an hour before his flight. Don't get me started on his theories regarding the homeless.

Bum Theory, mm yup. He's really on to something, hopefully he's still alive so he can prove they really eat change!

Dirty,

Sorry to hear about your sketchbook. Hope it turns up.

Dirty C

I flatter myself with the thought that somebody liked it so much they stole it, but given that none of coro's ever got half inched, i'm thinking that's unlikely.

ah well, i'll just keep bumping this for a week or so in the hopes that somebody sees it..

Haha, volunteer cadaver service? Tell me more!

And dirty, looks like it showed up. :D Though, let me know if it's worth it for your self-esteem and I'll try and steal it perhaps? It's definetly worth stealing.

I've actually run across London several times, Boston once and New York once to retrace my steps and retrieve that thing from bars. Didn't care about the ipod or the wallet in the same bag nearly as much. One time the bar had closed:
Brazilian dude: "What's in the bag?"
My girlfriend at the time: "An ipod, his wall--"
Me, interrupting: "A brown, ringbound sketchbook!!"
Mr Brazil: "Who drew the pictures in it??"
Me: "Me."
Him: [Shakes my hand] "Some dude came up with your bag and was like "some guy left his bag here, but look at this shit!" and pulled out your book!" [cue lots of nice comments from staff in the bar - cute, brazilian staff....]

Since then I've had a fantasy that having a decent sketchbook put an aura of invincibility around my stuff. My ipod was still there, and so was my wallet with money in it. Which is a pretty fuckin good reason to practice drawing.

NB: Yes, I keep my wallet in my bag, like a girl. I also found a bar near my sister's house which was selling pints for $1.50. Hence the rambling hehe

I'll edit this later and get rid of all the drunk shit probably

Thanks Sartell! Are you sure Wes didn't put it in your bag?

Please don't! This thread got way too entertaining (and with a happy ending getting your SB back) for you to take the fun out of it now. :)

Becky and James,

Thank you very much for the response. I'm glad to hear Christian is in town. It will be good to see him after three years.

My proposed plan is to visit you guys Saturday evening before I leave on Sunday morning. Perhaps we could all do something with Paul, Martha, and Uncle Stan (is he in the area?). I am open to your suggestions. I would be most grateful if I could stay over Saturday night, and perhaps get a ride in the morning to the Underground station (Malden Center) on Sunday morning.

One important thing I must add, I do not know if something is planned for Uncle Roger on Saturday, but if there is; I hope that you will understand that takes precedent.

Love,

David

saw the itinerant sketchbook tonight, safe as houses at the new britain diner in CT.

I must confess that I doodled on one of the pages, hope you don't mind. :) depending on how long it remains in CT, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else takes a turn with it.

Hey Marco
I'm assuming you somehow made it to your flight on time then?
I'm blaming the cheese myself, it did funny things to my coordination.
