apologies to the people who took time to post in the WIP thread and got no answers.
your c&c have been really helpful to get this pic done.
well actually, i don't know if it's done, but time is up anyway.
maybe it's overworked, or maybe it's underworked, i still don't know.

bump..
Super stylish design, HPX. Your mech stuff is some of the best. I still love the original sketchy version you had used in one of the DSG's from a long time ago.
The color palette is solid, and the layout with the text/wires is working. Good job man.

hrm.. I dont remember the claw the first go round.. I think I liked it looking almost unfinished before.. still bad ass though!
I find the shadow a little wierd, how it only casts for the hand.. and doenst fade away enough for the rest of the arm.. *shrug*
still cool

hey :)
i agree with you guys, the rough sketch was more promising than this final version, i lost a lot of impact with these small details that do'nt even show up.
next time, i'll have to stop zooming in that much.
brass, thanks for the feedback. btw, i really like the new design of your site.
deth jester, yes, the claw was not there at first. about the shadow, u right it's fucked up but the pic is a back/front cover with the middle fold. i wanted to keep the shadow on the back, but didn't want it to appear on the front side, that's why it suddenly fades =P it looks weird here but i think it will be ok on the real cover.
oh, btw, for those who wonder, this was supposed to be a cover for a Vynil of the turntablist crew called Audiomicid.
it will be out in september i think.

I really like but, but there's one thing:
the way you sharpen your images make them look really nice (I think frost does a similar thing) but the cables and the font looks pixelated then - Maybe this is your intention.
Is there also a smooth version?
