Adam Hughes is a great artist, although I know I'd never get to his level, I'll strive to be as good as him.

Anyway, my real purpose is to ask if anyone know of the pen he used for shading the face (arnd 2:25), the legs (arnd 3:22)?

The closes i get was using COPIC markers with a blender marker and I still can't get those right...

Anyone willing to share this technique of shading?

I'm fairly certain that he is using Copic markers. He is using the square, regular markers, although I prefer the sketch markers. Markers are a tough medium to master.

He is also probably using a Graphics Marker pad which really helps a great deal because they are made for markers and the blending is much easier on them.

The most popular brand is Bienfang Graphics 360 Marker Pads <> markers are definitely Copic which are in a league of their own.....

looks like the marker he was using for the face was almost out of ink or something and that's why he was getting those subtle values. ;]
