Is Photoshop C3 going to finally have an 'enhanced rotate canvas' feature [like Painter]? That is, a non-destructive rotate canvas that allows the user to quickly and easily rotate the canvas to draw at different angles without actually augmenting the file during the rotation process.

I hope so, and have requested it, and seen it requested a couple of times at Adobe's forums. I havent seen it talked about in any of the peeps discussing the beta. The final version of CS3 is supposed to have more features than the beta though so it might be something Adobe is still working on.
I think with all the photographer related new features in the last couple of updates, they could really do some for the illustrators/painters out there..
On the other hand, I just bought Painter and absolutely love it. The brushes and pens themselves are amazing...

I don't see why not implementing an enhanced canvas rotation feature would be a joke...

it's a feature that is asked a lot...for a long time...
Adobe is not ignoring that PS is used by artists (amateurs or professionnals)
for painting also...what's the hurt to add this slight function asked by many and that would be so practical!?
i'm just disappointed...

from what my friend tells me there isnt that much of a difference between CS2 and CS3 however the main difference is that people with intel processors will suit CS3 where as CS2 is more for AMD. this is just what my freind told me, i might be totaly wrong though.
Peace.

apparently its not just not in the beta, its not coming in the final CS3 release. check this discussion (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=72&catid=626&threadid=1224114&enterthread=y) of the feature on the CS3 forum... some adobe engineers responding as well.
(makes me all a bit extra happy with painter though. )

I hope Photoshop Rotate like Painter in New version soon. I Love Painter because of this Rotation option. And also I like Painter because of broader Canvas option in Photshop it is much headache to click ' F' three time . Is there anyone here who is agree with me?

Damn...I would so want the rotation feature in PS...it makes so much sense to have that...hmm mebe the fact the PS uses heavy resources on larger PSD files r files with too many layers that rotating it would make it more cumbersome. But i dont see that as an excuse. If painter can do it so should PS. Come on Adobe, do something abt it......u dont need a new release, just give us an update :(
