There are actually quite a few. Loni Anderson was an animator before she was an actress. John Favreau has said in interviews that he was working as a cartoonist/illustrator before he was an actor/writer/director. Pat Boone, suprisingly enough, did some professional cartooning. Gary Owens claims to have been a cartoonist before becoming a voice actor/announcer. There are a bunch more that I can't think of at the moment, but there is a book by Craig Yoe ("Weird Cartoon Facts" or some such) that has some info on famous celebrity artists.

wow, he must be really good then...I thought one of his covers was a photo for a few minutes...
