For some reason when i draw fast on my wacom tablet and make a curved line or a circle, the line will start to go straight and it creates corners! When i go slower with the pen it makes a lot nicer edge! It seems like sometimes it wont do this at all and i can draw fast and make nice curved lines but then sometimes it messes up! Is there a setting on the tablet or within photoshop that can prevent this? I thought it may have been due to my high resolution size but i lowered it significantly and the problem still occured!

help please ;]

It's not resolution, I think that's a function of processor speed. The computer is just not fast enough to keep up with a fast pen stroke, so it interpolates.

I couldn't find anything in tablet settings to change that... anybody else got more info?

Make sure smoothing is set, I've heard some people had this problem, and when they set it on it cleared it up...

That might work.

I had this exact problem today, all i did was restart and all was good again.

at the time it was doing it i had the heating on full and my comp was pretty hot and I also had alot of programs open at the time, enough to make my CPU get confused with alot of heat, so it could be down to you're CPU, try and have as many porgrams off as possible when painting.

hope i helped, good luck.

thanks for the help everyone! I think it is due to processor speed because i dont have this problem on my personal computer; since i just upgrated to a dual core! Applying smoothing to the brush seems like it definitely helps a lot as well!! thanks again! I may check some of the ram settings to see if that effects the workflow any!

Having a lot of programs open while painting in photoshop will slow u down for sure! I try to have as least open as i can! I don't necessarily need any other programs open when I'm painting anyhow cause that will be my main focus. I always have the usual browser window open to reference photos and things from the internet of course! Photoshop eats a lot of RAM so it's best to have at least 2 gigs for me anyhow! i think im gonna upgrade to 4 since i have the capacity now.

I stopped by the depot the other day brandon but i didnt see u. I'll swing by there sometime
