Hello fellows,

just finished an Illustration + Poster design for a school project,
It is a promotional poster design for perfume.
let me know what you think?

Thanks

P.S. How can I show the image in full size instead of a little thumbnail? Help please

Nice clean lines. but thing you could have done a bit more shadow and shading work on the skin tones. The features seem a little crooked on the girl's face.

I like the fir work on the sleeves - but again more shadows would make the hands stand out more.

The bottle looks very flat though.

You have certainly got some talent there - just need to keep developing it and it will become a much more stunning peice of work.

Thanks for your reply Pixel Dust.
I am looking at her face and trying to see what's wrong with it.
ya the bottle is indeed too flat, I should add more highlight and reflection before importing it from illustrator.

Your work is great but from a functional stand point (to showcase the perfume) the colors you used overpower the image, I dont really even notice the perfume until I really look at it.

-Just a suggestion-
Try this at least for fun, In photoshop I recommend you put a color (pink or light purple) fill the layer and set to "hue" on blending mode, put this layer above the character image.

or you can leave it like it is which is still great.

The hair is noodly, there is definitly need of practice for that area. The purple text also doesn't fit in well and I didn't noticed it till closer inspection.

so, i like everything except the head. The hands are done pretty well, and the perfume bottle looks cool... but then there is this mass of purple tentacles that dont even resemble hair... And i cant get past it. The head doesnt even seem to fit the style of the rest of the piece. The hands seem to be anatomicaly sound, but the head has a lot of flaws.

Hi, I deleted the ATTACH code in your post, so your pic just appears in the "Attached Images" box at the end of your post.

I don't really understand why the code does that (make it into a thumbnail), but if I delete that code, it usually works out ok.

Hey man beautiful work. One thing I notice about this work is the ammount of highlights to her hair. There are too many. Judging from where your lightsource is, there shouldnt be any highlights on the underlying layers on the right side of her head (our left) also I agree it looks like she has a jelly fish on her head, you may wanna work on your hair. All and all good work keep it up (Love the choice of colour's in this pic)

It's pretty, but where is the "Moulin Rouge spirit"? :^^;:

The hair colour is a bit off setting. I just stared at her hair for a couple of minutes till I realized there was a bottle.

Maybe a dirty blond would be better. Or a lighter brown.

I think her skin is just a bit too white and a bit too purple..

I think the hair needs to flow a lot more, to fit in with the delicate featherey look of the sleeves, which would contributes a lot to the general ethereal feeling of a perfume advertisement. I did a very quick paintover to perhaps help explain what I mean. I think you need to bring out individual strands of hair to, to give the imge a floating, beautiful look. At the moment the hair looks a bit like strands of rubber or plastic.

I'd suggest smoothing out the forehead tones, right now the area above the nose looks like a freshly-plucked unibrow. Also, I can see the stylization, but the eyes are a bit too wide apart.

The space between a pair of eyes is the length of the eye. The hair needs to be less vibrant ~.~ it attracts too much attention rather than the ad itself.

Try 2-d shading first? It'll help guide you :]
