Congrats everyone, it is going to be a wonderful show. Due to the limited space for the event, it will be selling out. This news means that the 2007 workshops will continue as scheduled in Florence Italy this spring.
The instructors start arriving in about 48 hours for InSOMAnia. Friendly faces have already been seen around the San Francisco. Can you feel it? It's almost here. :)
Thanks so much for the support. We could not do these events without you all. It is the community of conceptart.org that makes it possible to bring together so many talented people from all over the world..artists of all levels of skill. We are stoked, and can't wait to see everyone!
Best,
Jason Manley

That's great news!
Sadly enough I couldn't come to the Insomnia workshop, due to way too expensive tickets and all (I'm just a student, sue me), so hearing that the workshops will continue for *at least* one more time made me happy since I haven't been to one yet and would REALLY love to participate.
Anywhoo, Florence sounds like a great idea and I hope to see you all there, but before that I wish all of you who are going to the workshop in a few days a lot of fun!

CA has been on such a roll lately, December 2006 really marks it down with all the awesome art and the workshop. Don't stop, people!

We choose whatever place sounds best...rich in art, culture, and vibrant creative life...those are the primary reasons for choice of locale....so far we hit prague, amsterdam, berlin, san fran, austin, montreal...all creative juicy cultural centers
seattle and london are still being considered for future events...as are some other exotic spots. we will play it by ear...Florence will be next, that is the current plan. Someday perhaps Shanghai, Mexico City etc...who knows.
Right now, it is all about Insomania and San Francisco. No one here will even talk to me about italy. :)

Lovely! Even though I won't be making it to the Italy one, it's great to know this won't be the last one. :D

carnifex, i'm bringing my DV cam, Still cam (5mp nice lens), and digital audio recorder, i plan on using them. This is your 2nd post i've seen asking for pictures and this is me saying don't worry about it.
P.S. I'm also stoked as hell, my adventure starts in about 26 hours when I need to drive to fly out. This is going to rock the earth.

Go Seattle...There are a ton of art spots, sculpture, galleries and stuff to look at and do here. Not to mention the vid game companies that abound!
