Okay, It's far from finished, but I'm getting quite happy with her.
There are some minor problems, some major problems, but I'll work them. I just wanted you to comment it. :)

I had some problem with the perspective. The hips are... odd. Her legs also.

Anyway, here she is (Don't mock her. She's superstrong. ;) )

I'm doing a less cartoony face.

Did I say I'm doing it with my mouse?

are her legs supposed to be parallel?
if so image the gray orthagonal measurement lines as a starting line or edge the character was standing on .. both tips of the feet would be the same distance away from it right?

that is the only thing that bothers me.
is that going to be a salute? or a rude gesture .. or both.

Thanks for replying killing.people.
Nah, her legs are not parallel, but her left leg bothers me. It seems a bit odd... a bit too close to the viewer. I'll be changing that, most probably.

Heh, she's giving a salute. I should've defined her hand a lil' bit more before posting. :) She's two bent fingers [sp? grammar? heh] and two straight fingers (but the thumb).

But besides that... is it okay? Her arms, her abdomen..?
She's looking a bit old for me too. And it looks like she's a broken nose. hehe (no, it's not intentional :) )

yeah, her nose does look a little crooked... but it could just be the eyes making them look that way. the eyes are not parallel to the face. the lips look good so start with those and draw a straight line across the lip line(the inside of the bottom lip looks good), then draw lines parallel to that to figure out the lines of the eyes and nose. that should help with the eyes and nose. the thing that really bugs me is the right arm(the one saluting), it's bent way too much. remember, the ulna(one of two bones of the forearm, the other is the radius) runs from the elbow to the wrist opposite your thumb, so the forarm is relatively strait on that side.

one last thing, try to include the hair on a person from the beginning stages of a drawing to work it in with the overall look. if you wait until later, it's gonna look like it was slapped on at the end like a touppee. so try to draw the hair and head as one shape at the beginning. if you need to start with the skull shape, thats fine, but try to throw in the shape of the hair not too long afterward.

hope this helps

Yeah yeah, I know about the bones and parallelism... It's just that (most specifically in the right arm and the legs) I was going for a cartoony drawing... then it started to look a bit more comic-booky (i'm a neologist. :) )... and that's what I got so far.

I never thought about the hair stuff, though when I do pencil drawings, I instinctively do that.
This time I tried to do everything on its layer, so she HAS hair, but it's too goofy at this stage. She's looking like a poodle or something. heh

I'll be correcting it (the hair) and merging the layers, then refining, smudging, and all that.

On the nose/eyes issue the problem is (and this is NOT an excuse) that I usually get lost at some point.

Thanks for commenting it, empty! I appreciate it.
