You kind of have to wonder what the kid was thinking in the first place to tape himself going nuts with a bo like that. I don't think it was to showcase his jojutsu or liado abilities.

His parents suing the other kids that put that out on the web just shows me that he's the kind of highschool pushover that doesn't fight his own battles...Unless he's got his ninja staff!! Hwaahhh!!!!!

poor guy, i just mentioned him on another thread, his name is ghyslain and he's french canadian, he recorded himself in school and forgot to delete the tape, he lent it out to a friend, and the friend gave it to another that uploaded it, a month later, it's all over the net, some friends huh?.
so poor ghyslain is laughed at all over the world. so some guys started a fund to pay him. i think they managed to get him an ipod and a couple of thousand dollars.
rock on ghyslain, and continue to dance the forbidden dance.... dance in protest!

i can't count how many times i had played jedi master with a flashlight while walking the dogs! yep about his age and older, plus if i had all the tech. we have easy access to now i would for sure have taped myself.

i doubt there is one of you out there that has not done the same. hey we may even see you on the net sometime, every one has a video camera now.

i just hope that this young man is not prone to depression or has acute insecurity problems. it would be horrible if this ruined the rest of his life. that's not funny at all.

i know, i know, lighten up, but i think so many people don't want to know what their actions will do to someone, because then they may not get their laugh.

I have a tape full of movies my buds and I used to make when were kids in Wheatridge, Colorado back in the late 70's early 80s. I wish I could share them. They are funny as hell to watch. My son watches them all the time and he has started to make some of his own now.
It's funny that The guy I used to make those movies with (Pat Loehr) is in the Photography biz.

This kid will probably grow up to be some baddass in the movie industry. you watch:D

Considering the kind of demographic that is often attracted to a forum like this... I think it's safe to say most of us here can relate to some way the manic prancing with a pretend lightsaber.

Heck, a couple of classmates and I pulled a similar stunt at our college once. We brought our plastic lightsabers to campus, filmed ourselves fighting and killing each other and then digitized it at the video lab and inserted sound effects. We were geeks, but we were happy geeks.

a kid in my spanish class did something just like that, but was fighting against another kid
and they were saying stuff to eachother in spanish while fighting with the light sabers.
he played it in front of the entire class and the teacher played for all the other classes
everyone laughed at him, but he didnt care.

its not that big of a deal i dont think

Dude, I am sooo regret that none of the movies I made with my friends as a kid still exist. I'm sure that stuff would be comedy gold at this point.

The funny thing is, some of those "remixes" are way stupider than the original. And those people were actually trying.

I've got kinda mixed emotions. I've got old films of me and my friends acting james bond and jackie chan stuff, and it's really funny seeing your friends do stupid stuff on tape. But then you hear yourself talking like a girl and screaming engrish. "You bad man, me get immediately you". When I was younger, I thought I spoke the PERFECT english :)

but again, it's kinda cool seeing you friends make asses of themselves :D

I shudder to think what would happen if even one of the home movies I made as a young teen got out...sheesh. Just plain horrible! Part of the reason this was so funny to me was because I could relate, as I'm sure a lot of us can. I can't count how many times my friends and I, with nothing better to do, opted NOT to go hang out at the mall and just walk around like all the other kids with no imagination. We created our own little worlds and had a great time doing it. If the kid escapes for a few minutes and thinks he's Obi-Wan, I say more power to him.

I think if it was me I would be embarassed at first, but then pleased to see all the attention (the $$$, the remixes of my tape, the petition...which I signed!).

This was definitely one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile though. I hope the rumors of law suits and stuff aren't true and he's not taking it too seriously.

This made my day last week. Mortal Kombat workout and the dork clones were two of my favorites.
