Long time since I've posted to CA.org
First time I've posted here.
Anyways, This was the result of inspiration from Finland's independence day and Lord of the Rings. Quite messy, but I guess it's quite finished.
Critique away, though.

The large lack of definition in the piece bely the "finishment", but my main concern is what his legs are connected to.
Because "hips" are not the first thing that comes to mind.

you could devine light and shadow better and put some second source of light, to give him more volume.

I like the concept and armor, but i would suggest on study how metal behaves with light, try finding some polished metal and move it around to see how highlight, shadow, and light behave, there is a thread here that might help: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=76955
There is another thread that might help you too, on the photoshop forum, the one that teaches "digital painting".
Good luck!.

Also looks like you're using really small brushes. Small brushes does not = better or more detail. Work with the largest brsuh you possibly can, and slowly go down from there.
