I think I took $250 or $300 to Montreal; that was more thanenough to eat pretty well, buy some art supplies, get a few tshirts and other miscelaneous crap. Even a few 10$ packs of ciggs... I'm sure I could have gotten by on a lot less.

I'm coming with a carton of cigs and about $100. Just off the top of my head I figure I'll only have to pay a few bucks for a couple hitec-c's ( he he he ) transport fare, museum entry fee, and if there's such a thing as a fast food place in SF I'm all set.

I welt crazy with spending in Montreal, then on the last day and a half all i could afford with McDonald's value menu food. And I got some fierce McIndigestion. Won't make that mistake again.

You can get by with about $100... but if you're wanting to eat well, and spend extra on yourself [Marko's DVD anyone?] and/or souvenirs for family/friends, you'll want to bring more than that. I brought about $300 to Montreal and it was almost all gone by the end of the trip. But that workshop was a lot longer than this one, and Montreal might be more expensive than San Francisco[?]. It's always good to bring more than enough for emergencies and what not. And you can also use your debit/credit card too; I know I don't like to carry around tons of cash with me. Hope this helps.

let's see, i ended up spending $20 on tshirts, a lot on taxis, and probably about $15 a day for meals, not including if you want to buy any alcohol.

It ain't a cheap city, but honestly, you'll be so busy with everything that you won't have much time to spend your money on anything but food and crap like that... you can get by fine w/ $20-30 a day for food and stuff... and the tranny-hookers factor into that budget, too.

I don't know where the event is taking place this time. If its the same place as last time there's a nice little thai place near the workshop that's cheap and good eats. About 5$ for a plate of rice noodle with some veggies and meat.

san francisco is prob one of the best places in the world for food. if you guys get the chance to explore take advantage of the opportunity of being here.
