does anyone know anything about money in ancient civilisations(like 1000 over years ago)?

This is 'cos it is a really last minute assignment and I need to trace the development of money in those countries up till modern times. X__X;; And we have to include pictures too. -__-;;

So far, a lot of people are doing about money in civilisations like Maya, Inca, Japanese and even Egyptian but I don't want mine to turn out the same as theirs as it could affect my grades badly. The lecturer is nice but I've had a lot of lecturers who behaved this way but completely "ripped apart" the student when looking through the assignments.

I'm doing Chinese + maybe some other societies(I gave up on Mesopotamia 'cos it's quite confusing) but so far, I'm groping around in the dark 'cos there are few resources at the libraries I've looked up at and I only came up with a handful of stuff on the net. :( I know about Chinese ancient civilisation but the rest? I'm at a complete loss if you're going to ask me about money in ancient German society or ancient France society or some other form of ancient society. -__-;;

Any help from anyone would be much appreciated. Even just simple facts that I could expand on by searching through the search engine would be really great. And I'm really sorry if I'm being a nuisance. :(
