Well basically I've decided that I'm not going to university and I'm going to train myself up as a concept artist, leaning towards character and environment design. Are there any books that you guys could recommend me? Any other advice will be helpful too. Thanks. :)

you are on conceptart! wtf??? no need for books... Read and Ask Questions.
Right now there is a thread in the finally finished section from ron lemen with information you won't find in any book!
(of course there are some real valuable books. But you don't even know yet what you are looking for so take some time and have a look at some of the tutorials in this forum. Also a good way to find out more about the books you will want to buy)
